Cambrie and Alex

Bride and Groom's names:┬áCambrie & Alex Gagliardi   - How did he propose?┬áHe proposed at parent's house while the entire family was sitting at the table playing a game. I was sitting down, and he was standing behind me, and all of a sudden I feel him slip a tiny little object into my hand. He then whispered in my ear, "Will you marry me?" I couldn't help but scream when I opened my hand to find the most beautiful ring I had ever seen. Of course, I said yes and the whole family was there to experience that [...]

Ashleigh and Michael

- Bride and Groom's names: Ashleigh and Michael Cofield   - How did he propose? Michael proposed like a true gentleman! He let me know how much he loved me (like he does every day), got down on one knee with a beautiful ring and asked me to be his wife.   - Tell us about your venue and why you chose it: Michael and I got married at Church of the Highlands Chapel in Birmingham, Alabama. Michael and I attended the University of Alabama and went to church at Church of the Highlands, and are still members now. [...]

The Future Looks Bright to Us: 2050 Styled Shoot

Back again with yet another fabulous styled shoot with some of our favorite vendors! We were lucky enough to shoot this time at the Hunter Museum of American Art, which was the perfect background to our futuristic 2050 styled shoot. We wanted to shake things up and try some looks we loved with a bit more of an edge- and I think we nailed it! Seriously, everything was over the top (gold hair foil anyone?) and yet it still felt like something we could relate to. We would definitely attend this wedding! Fox & Fern kicked butt with these flowers. [...]

Designer Series: Behind the Scenes at Malis Henderson

It's no secret. When a bride tells us she doesn't want a veil, we get a little sad. We know they aren't for everyone! But one reason we LOVE Malis Henderson is because not only do they design veils, but also the most beautiful hair pins, crowns, halos and headbands. We love a little something on a bride's head, just to say "hey everyone, look at how pretty I am!" Elen Henderson, the boss lady at Malis Henderson, is phenomenal. She is so experienced and knowledgeable, we always spend at least an hour and a half in her booth [...]

Haley and Calvin

Bride and Groom's names: Haley and Calvin Kidd - How did he propose? Calvin proposed in Coolidge Park one evening. We were taking pictures with a friend who was a photographer. Calvin told me that our friend had asked to take our picture so he could add to his portfolio, but Calvin had actually been planning to propose. - Tell us about your venue and why you chose it: We got married at The Barn at Drewia Hill. We looked at a lot of venues, but we eventually chose Drewia Hill because it just seemed to have everything we [...]

Justin and Holly

- Bride and Groom's names: Justin and Holly - How did he propose? We drove to hike Snooper's Rock, but once we got there it was closed due to hunting and he was not happy! I kind of had a feeling that he was going to propose, so I suggested we hurry over to Sunset Park to catch the sunset there. As we got there, we realized about 100 other people decided to watch the sunset there that night. We hiked down and found a quiet empty spot and as I turned around he was down on [...]

Designer Series: Behind the Scenes at Watters

We are pumped to share with y'all our new Designer Series where we will feature a behind the scenes look at some of our designers! Visiting showrooms brings out the little girls in us and we have to pinch ourselves to keep from going gaga over every little detail! We hope this is half as fun for you as it is for us!   We had the opportunity to travel to the Watters headquarters for Market this year- and it was awesome! Watters is also home to WTOO and Willowby by Watters. It was so fun to meet some of [...]

Boho Chic Wedding Styled Shoot

Usually when we do a styled shoot, we have one bride and maybe couple of bridesmaids. When our friends at Spago and Soli Photography approached us about doing a Boho Chic Wedding styled shoot with 5 brides, we thought they might be crazy! But hey, we are a little crazy ourselves, so we jumped right in... It was a hot summer day here in Chattanooga, and trekking through the Tennessee Riverpark was not our ideal way to spend the afternoon, but the light and colors were SO worth it. The results were just gorgeous. These models were so uniquely beautiful [...]

Dressing a Queen for the Chattanooga Cotton Ball

We were so incredibly honored to dress the Queen this year for the annual Chattanooga Cotton Ball. The Queen, Virginia, is one of the sweetest Belles we've ever had, and it was a thrill for us to work with her on this project. Not only did she get her gown with us, a gorgeous Watters Bridal Gown named Marion, but we also had the pleasure of helping to design and build her an entirely new train. We have worked with the Chattanooga Cotton Ball for 20 years now, and traditionally the Queen has borrowed a gown and a train from [...]
