‘-How did he propose?
It was a few days before Christmas and we were at the Choo Choo watching people ice skate. We were on our way to dinner at the Terminal when I suggested we take a picture in front of the huge Christmas tree in the lobby. I asked this girl to take our picture, and when I turned around he was on one knee and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him! I said yes, and the girl captured the whole thing!
-Tell us about your venue and why you chose it:
We fell in love with the Tennessee River Place the first time we went to tour the venue. I couldn’t imagine getting married anywhere else. I really liked the Spanish style of the house and being right along the Tennessee River was the perfect scenery.
What was your favorite and least favorite part about the wedding planning process?
My favorite part of wedding planning was finding my wedding dress. It really was the most part of the planning process. My least favorite part was all the stress that comes from making all the necessary decisions.
-Any advice for other brides planning their big day?
It’s easier said than done, but don’t worry about the small things. I was so busy worrying about all the small detail that I didn’t get to enjoy the week leading up to the wedding as much as I wish I did.
-What was your favorite part about your wedding day?
My favorite part was when Steven and I did our first look. It was so nice to have a moment like that to share with just us (and our fabulous photographer of course). We were glad to have some time alone before everything started.
