Hello bridal babes! We have a very special blog post for you today. Here we are in the middle of a pandemic…absolutely none of us could have expected this, especially our brides! Our hearts are broken for the plans & dreams that are now not so clear. We are here to help you make the best of it all!

Whether you have picked everything from your dress to your venue, or you were just getting started when this all occurred…don’t worry! Take a deep breath, we are here for you! Our bridal babes have put our wedding brains together to share with you our best ideas for…ELOPING!

It may just be me, but eloping always sounded exciting, adventurous, and so romantic! It may not be exactly what you had in mind, but it is absolutely something to consider…especially during this time!

You have a couple of options here. The first, is to have solely an elopement with your absolute closest family and friends by your side. The second option you have is to have an elopement ceremony, and then later down the road have a grander celebration! Either way is just as special, but deciding on the front end is better for your peace of mind as well as your budget! If you decide on having two different ceremonies, you will want to decide which one you want to keep more minimal, and which one you want to let loose and splurge on! Set clear goals and expectations during this crazy time of unknowns!

Especially during this time of limited gathering, you’re going to want to go back to the drawing board and invite only the nearest and dearest for this special day. We want to assure you this does not mean all the 200+ people you wanted at your wedding will never get to celebrate you and your soon-to-be. Many of our brides are planning a small gathering & ceremony at their original date, and then planning their large gathering later this year to ensure everyone’s safety. Having just your closest family by your side as you marry the love of your life will be something you will cherish forever.

For your adventurous elopement, you have the choice of choosing somewhere that may have not been possible with 200 guests. These locations could include: a mountaintop, next to your favorite river, or a family member’s spacious backyard! This allows you to get creative with your location and make it more personal to you and your fiance.

A current elopement trend that we are LOVING is having your elopement at an AirBnb! AirBnb’s are notorious for having some of the most creative and breathtaking decor and locations. You can search for the exact vibe you and your soon-to-be were hoping, rent the location for an evening or overnight, and have your special, tight knit ceremony! This is a great way to stay within your budget and most importantly stay safe!

And finally, our dearest bridal babes, include things that you were planning to include on the special day you had originally intentioned. Have a first look, first dance, cutting of the cake, and all the things! Just because the exact plan you had in mind all of the sudden was turned upside down does not mean you can’t implement the things you were looking forward to the most.

No matter when, where, or how you get married, remember that the most important thing of all is that no matter what you get to marry the absolute love of your life. We hope that despite everything going on in our world that whatever your wedding day looks like it is special, glamorous, and absolutely lovely.

Xoxo,

Monica’s girls.
