How did he propose?
We rent a farm together and went one evening to check on our calls after a fake “distress call” from a neighbor. He proposed amongst our herd of cattle with my best friend hiding in the trees to capture it all.
Tell us about your venue and why you chose it:
Covey Creek Farm. We fell in love with the ceremony space (tunnel of trees) when we visited and knew it was the place for us. Dalton actually chose the venue before I could say how much I liked it. It was a beautiful ceremony space, and the reception site had many great features that allowed all of our guests to enjoy themselves. The owner, Beth, is by far the easiest venue-owner I’ve ever worked with.
What was your favorite and least favorite part about the wedding planning process? When it was over! (haha). My favorite part was getting to see everything come together and all of my family and friends taking charge to get it done. The worst thing? planning during a pandemic. Enough said.
Any advice for other brides planning their big day?
Don’t stress the little things. Something is going to mess up and it will be okay; you’re the only one that will know it. Everyone is there to celebrate you and they don’t care about the small things. The sooner you accept that the easier the whole process and day-of events will be.
What was your favorite part of your wedding day?
Our first look. I used to be dead set against doing a first look because I felt like it was something to be saved for the ceremony. After hearing a lot of brides’ stories, we decided to do it. It relieved so much pressure and made the rest of the day that much more enjoyable.
