How did he propose?
After having my ring hidden away for two weeks, Ethan couldn’t wait anymore. He bailed on his original plan of asking me in front of friends and family on Saturday and asked me on a Thursday night. This threw me off completely and I was not expecting it. We went to a cute little Mexican restaurant in Knoxville where he asked me to be his girlfriend months prior. He asked me right there in the car. Just the two of us. He cried and forgot his whole speech. It was perfect. We cried together tears of joy for about 10 minutes then went inside and had some yummy queso, what’s better?!
Tell us about your venue and why you chose it:
We chose Wind River Country Club because I really wanted a beautiful outdoor ceremony. They had a perfect spot overlooking the lake. Ironically, it rained on our wedding day so that spot was not used…but we still had a beautiful ceremony in their grand room overlooking the manor!
-What was your favorite and least favorite part of the wedding planning process?
My favorite part of the whole process was finding my dream gown. I’m the typical princess, so I needed something that was as dramatic as me. My least favorite part was running into more and more small details that needed to be worked out. Who knew choosing pink or white napkins would cause so much stress!
-Any advice for other brides planning their big day?
No matter how perfect you plan your wedding, something is going to happen. I tried to plan the very perfect wedding and it rained, but it was still perfect to me. Once the day is finally here don’t let any surprises get to you, just roll with it and enjoy marrying your best friend.
-What was your favorite part about your wedding day?
My favorite part was finally becoming Mrs. Billings!
