-How did he propose?
He surprised me! He already had plans with his buddies for the day and I was going to have a girls day with a mutual friend of ours. We went to lunch, hobby Lobby and got our nails done. He tried to get me to wear a dress but it was September 1st and the VOLS were playing so of course I had on shorts and a cute TN shirt! My friend told me she had to take something to the Hermitage Golf Course for a coworker, so we go by to drop it off, and we are walking through the rose garden and there comes Blake! I was like “What are you doing here?!” He pulled me aside and got down on one knee! My sister was photographing and all our family was inside!!
-Tell us about your venue and why you chose it:
We got married at the Hermitage Golf Course, the same place we got engaged! I knew I wanted my wedding there! Plus it was stunning and everything I could have wanted and more.
– What was your favorite part about the wedding planning process?
It’s hard to pick a favorite because everything was wonderful. I’d say when we had our first look at the Hermitage Hotel in Downtown Nashville.
-Any advice for other brides planning their big day?
Don’t stress about the small stuff! No one but you is going to know something went wrong. Remember, you are marrying the love of your life and that’s more important than the wedding day itself! Also, I suggest doing a first look so you don’t have to stress all day about being seen by the groom. And it you can do all your photos before the wedding so you can enjoy your ceremony longer and eat!!
-What was your favorite part of your wedding day?
Having everyone come celebrate our marriage and getting to spend it with the people we love most. And, of course, finally marrying the one God truly made for me!
