– How did he propose?
He proposed a few days after Christmas in downtown Charlotte, NC in a little park that had Christmas lights strung all over every tree. We went ice skating beforehand with my best friend and her husband. Then we went to a rooftop restaurant to celebrate!
We got married at Vesuvius Vineyards in N.C. I’ve always wanted to get married at a white plantation with columns. They had everything I wanted and it was only 10 minutes from our house! They also had availability for an April wedding.
– What was your favorite and least favorite part about the wedding planning process?
Well everything was pretty easy minus corona virus. Our venue was spectacular though. They basically are letting us have two weddings for the price of one. We had a small family ceremony on our original wedding date and we’ve moved the big wedding to October. And we’re going to do all of it again!
– Any advice for other brides planning their big day?
Go with the flow as much as you can! The end goal is to marry your man so everything else isn’t important. I had to remind myself of that!
